The 4 Day (almost endless) 14th Birthday Celebration - part III

The next phase of the birthday celebration happened late Sunday afternoon -- the day before Joel's birthday. This get-together party was for the extended family and a couple of friends. We grilled hot dogs and had other outdoor picnic type foods to start off the party. A "limited" football game while the food was cooking and a water balloon fight in the dark at the end of the party for those who were brave enough to stick around.

A delicious cake with an outpouring of love toward Joel in gifts from everyone brought great joy to our son. He even received a gift from NY from Grandma that arrived just before the party.

The last event of the evening was a fire and marshmallows. It was a fun time, but not the end of his 14th birthday celebration.

Check in for part IV of the last part of Joel's birthday. (By the way, Joel says thank you to all who blessed him with cards and gifts this year -- it was special).
