Turtle Bay Park Along the Sacramento River

Spent Sunday afternoon at the Turtle Bay Trail head park. We brought fried chicken and had a little picnic on the grassy shore. Once we opened the chicken the "meat-bees" were all over it (and there were a lot that just appeared out of nowhere). Somehow we survived that and enjoyed the afternoon. Joel playing in the Sacramento River and finding various "treasures. Shirl reading some books. I fell asleep on the plush grass for about 20 minutes then watched Joel splash around in the water. There were also men out in the river Fly-Fishing -- hoping to catch the big one! All-in-all it was a wonderful afternoon.

Bratwursts for Lunch

Shirley cooking Bratwursts for lunch over the fire in the front yard with her Dad, Z. A. -- all of us enjoyed them very much!

Tubing at Whiskeytown Lake

Eddy took us out on his boat at an extended family day of picnicking and boating. Joel and Jesse were on the tube while Riley and Micah were with her Dad as he drove the boat. I (Joe) took the photos with Joel's phone camera (because we forgot our regular camera). Had a lot of fun, especially the great spill for Joel and Jesse as they hit one of the big wakes.
